Serial Cut is a Madrid based studio with some slick work in their folio. Established in 1999 by Sergio del Puerto, working on a wide variety of worldwide projects, but focussing mainly on Art Direction. Shown here is a type signature inspired by the Japanese designer Igarashi from the 80s.

Opening the 2010 London International Mime Festival, Oper Opis (which translates as “someone something”) is a mix of visual arts, circus, music and dance. Directed and led by the rubber-limbed Martin Zimmermann, and composer/DJ Dimitri de Perrot, the company features some of Europe’s top young circus artists.

Andy Warhol: Still Lifes and Feet, 1956-1961.” is a selection of over 50 black-and-white ballpoint pen drawings from the artist’s personal sketchbooks. From his student days until the weeks before his death in 1987, Warhol drew prolifically and in his studies of the human form, he returned time and time again to portraits of shoes and feet. read more

In the early 90s, Artavazd Pelechian made two spiritual films which are among his simplest and most beautiful productions: The End (1991) and Life (1992), Pelechian’s first colour film. Where The End looks towards death, Life is about a birth, consisting mainly of views of a young woman’s face in the throes of labour, her heaving body in its hospital room seen as a changing landscape. read more
