Greek artist Νίκος Μόσχος (Nikos Moschos) is our latest FILE Mixtape contributor. Nikos Moschos was born 1979 in Herakleio, Crete and was first taught to draw by his farther. From 1997 to 2003 Nikos studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts and had his first exhibition in 2000 in the city of his birthplace, Herakleio. read more

Our Mixtape for June has been compiled by Brooklyn based Mexican hyperrealist artist Victor Rodriguez. Rodriguez employs references from advertising posters to fashion and art within his large-scale paintings which has been exhibited extensively internationally, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, the Flint Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Museo de Monterrey in Mexico. read more

We here at FILE greets December welcome with our new monthly Mixtape, this time from New York based conceptualist photographer Les Robert Krims. He is noted for his carefully arrange fabricated photographs (called “fictions”), various candid series, a satirical edge, dark humor, and long-standing criticism of what he describes as leftist twaddle. read more

At the end of hot July we are pleased to present you with a cool Mixtape from the hands of Danish fashion designer Emilie Grubert, who we previously featured here on FILE. This Mixtape was sent to us by post and when the envelope made its way through our letterbox, red lettering spelled out FRAGILE DO NOT BEND – intriguing. This all made sense when the envelope was cracked open. read more

May’s Mixtape is the outcome of our competition ‘Create a Mixtape and Accompanying Artwork’ and send it to us. Rather surprised we were when UPS delivered a package labeled “express” to our office – but further excitement was awaiting us. As we opened the well sealed box and moved some cooling elements, yeah thats right, cooling elements, the smell of fresh chicken appeared! read more
