Michał Smandek was born in 1981 in Ruda Śląska. He lives and works in Świętochłowice, Poland. Between 2001-2007 he studied at the sculpture faculty of the Department of Artistic Education at Silesian University. He presently works as a teacher of sculpture at High Schools of Fine Arts in Katowice and Zabrze. read more

In his installation, reverse of volume RG, Yasuaki Onishi uses the simplest materials — plastic sheeting and black hot glue — to create a monumental, mountainous form that appears to float in space. The process that he calls casting the invisible involves draping the plastic sheeting over stacked cardboard boxes, which are then removed to leave only their impressions. read more

em_bruto is an audio-visual performance that was born with the objective of exploring the interface of the software Pure Data (PD) as a medium of visual composition. Imagining that in this manner it would be possible promote an aestheticization of the “raw” interface of the sofware in an interesting way, as an allusion to the aesthetics of live coding, and so it would be feasible to add new values and meanings to abstract shapes like squares, circles and crosses. read more
