We are very pleased to introduce our latest addition to Citylikeyou, Xavi Garcia a Graphic designer from Salamanca, Spain. After studying at Central Saint Martins, London, and with experience in New York City and Barcelona, Xavi now works from his hometown, a medieval city of golden stone located in the mid-West of Spain.

Melodie McDaniel is a still life, celebrity, and advertising photographer and film director. Melodie McDaniel graduated in 1992 from Art Center School of Design with a major in Photography and a minor in Fine Art. She studied photography and was inspired to pursue documentary photography after traveling throughout Europe and Israel.

Screwed Up is a lovestory and a story of not knowing a good thing until its gone. After a short honeymoon period monotony and arguments settle in. One deserts the other, but regrets that very decision soon after and embarks on a search for the missing other half. Directed by London based filmmaker and animator Kris Hofman.

Korehira Watanabe is one of the last remaining Japanese swordsmiths. He has spent 40 years honing his craft in an attempt to recreate Koto, a type of sword that dates back to the Heian and Kamakura periods (794-1333 AD). Directed by Takeshi Fukunaga.

The Performa 11 Grand Finale will be held in honor of the punk pioneer and Sex Pistols founder Malcolm McLaren. The inaugural award will be presented tonight at the Bowery Hotel in New York, by writer Greil Marcus and musician Lou Reed.
