Noemi Schipfer graduated from the graphic design highschool Estienne in Paris. As an illustrator she published her first children’s book last january and the second one will be release in the end of august. She also make illustration for magazine and book covers, and she experiment with video too, she directed her first feature length last summer. We caught up with Noemi to find out more about her work. read more

To curate our 3rd File screening we asked Los Angeles based artist and painter Seth Armstrong. Armstrong was born and raised in the Silverlake district of Los Angeles, after studying painting in northern Holland, he received a BFA from the California College of The Arts. He lives and works in Oakland, CA. read more

The Future is the new feature film by acclaimed artist and director Miranda July. It’s about Sophie (Miranda July) and Jason (Hamish Linklater) contending with mortality and the void within. There’s also a talking cat and a yellow tee-shirt that can move by itself. read more

“Content is Queen” by Sergio Albiac, is a video art series of generative portraits that reflects on the foundations of democracy against the resilient nature of structures of power. At the same time, is a paradoxical dialogue and strange marriage between the banal and the utterly majestic: to create the series, the most popular (in a truly democratic sense) internet videos of a given moment are used as the input of a generative process that “paints” with action the portrait of the Queen.
