Konstantinos Menelaou is an art and film director working mainly with video and film. Menelaou moved from Greece to London in 2001 where he still lives and works. In September 2009 he completed his MA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martin’s College and since then he has been working on his video artworks, short films and fashion projects and has collaborated with innovative fashion designers and artists. His roles as a film-maker and art director are interconnected and they are defined by his practice as a writer, director, editor, curator and producer. Parallel to his own practice, he produces and curates art exhibitions and events with a focus on bringing talented artists and innovative fashion designers together for the creation of new ideas, challenging work and fresh styles of presentation.
He has worked at The White Cube gallery as a researcher and as the producer at large and art director of Diane Pernet’s A Shaded View on Fashion film festival and he is a regular contributor to her famous blog. Recent screenings have taken place at Cannes Film Festival, PICA, Miami Art Basel, Centre Pompidou, Barbican Art Gallety and the BFI. Recent curatorial projects have taken place at Centre Pompidou, Boulan Miami and Tribeca Grand Hotel.
