The first exhibition to feature British and international artists exhibiting alongside Azerbaijani artists will be shown at the Baku Museum of Modern Art from 15 May 2012. Realised by YARAT!, a non-commercial organisation dedicated to promoting contemporary art in Azerbaijan, Merging Bridges will feature acclaimed artists including the world-renowned Sarah Lucas, Keith Coventry, James Turrell, Idris Khan and Olympia Scarry. read more
Yasuaki Onishi – reverse of volume RG

In his installation, reverse of volume RG, Yasuaki Onishi uses the simplest materials — plastic sheeting and black hot glue — to create a monumental, mountainous form that appears to float in space. The process that he calls casting the invisible involves draping the plastic sheeting over stacked cardboard boxes, which are then removed to leave only their impressions. read more

em_bruto is an audio-visual performance that was born with the objective of exploring the interface of the software Pure Data (PD) as a medium of visual composition. Imagining that in this manner it would be possible promote an aestheticization of the “raw” interface of the sofware in an interesting way, as an allusion to the aesthetics of live coding, and so it would be feasible to add new values and meanings to abstract shapes like squares, circles and crosses. read more

Art Series Hotel Group have brought together the world’s greatest living art forger, Tony Tetro, with one of the world’s most forged artists – Andy Warhol – to ask which Warhol is Warhol’s? The convicted forgery artist, Tetro, has been commissioned to produce nine replica Warhols that will hang in the hotels alongside a genuine one until August 3. read more

Botanicula is point’n’click exploration game created by Jára Plachý and Amanita Design. It’s about a bunch of five friends – little tree creatures who set out for a journey to save the last seed from their home tree which is infested by evil parasites.
