George Georgiou began working as a freelance photographer after receiving a BA in photography from the Polytechnic College of Central London. He has photographed extensively in Eastern Europe and Turkey, spending most of the past five years in Istanbul. read more

The Alamar’s neighborhoodcextends to the east of Havana, on the other side of the bay. In the 70’s Alamar was born as a model city project, but through the years fell into anonymity until it became a bewildering complex of badly constructed buildings. The Sicilian Mauro D’Agati decided to expose the scene of Alamar through a series of shots that convey life, decay, color, poverty and dreams. read more

Melodie McDaniel is a still life, celebrity, and advertising photographer and film director. Melodie McDaniel graduated in 1992 from Art Center School of Design with a major in Photography and a minor in Fine Art. She studied photography and was inspired to pursue documentary photography after traveling throughout Europe and Israel.

Artist and photographer Alicja Dobrucka was born in 1985 in Poland. She was recently a recipient of the Sortiri Prize 2011, Korce, Albania. In 2010 she received the highly competitive Deutsche Bank Fine Art Award and Grant in Photography. She is currently showing as a part of the New Contemporaries 2011 at the ICA in London. read more
