Christiane Seiffert is a Berlin artist and the first and most obvious thing to say about her work is that it’s really funny. And a lot more. Seiffert works in the tradition of living images and it’s just herself – with the help of a surprisingly versatile stock of accessories – impersonating found images, often photos of houses or street scenes, also flowers and other striking or not so striking photos and postcards. read more

I don’t believe in black or white, I don’t believe in right or wrong. I recognize many different grey areas and I want to show them. I suspect that it’s just those areas and the people who go there, that are an image of the true meaning of being human. read more
