Christiane Seiffert is a Berlin artist and the first and most obvious thing to say about her work is that it’s really funny. And a lot more. Seiffert works in the tradition of living images and it’s just herself – with the help of a surprisingly versatile stock of accessories – impersonating found images, often photos of houses or street scenes, also flowers and other striking or not so striking photos and postcards. A strictly hilarious undertaking of understanding by animating the world with all we have – ourselves.
