New music video from one of my favorite bands, Animal Collective. Starring Professional skateboarder Jason Dill and the Dancers Robin Cantrell and Sean Scantlebury. The video was directed by Abby Portner and animated by Dan Boujoulian with Additional Filming by Jason Goodman.

From the owner of a Charlie Parker album worth 10,000 who believes in playing it and prefers mono to stereo to the producers at Norton Records where rock musicians who had fallen off the charts are restored to vinyl to be heard again. Produced for WNET City Arts by Howard Silver.

Birds on the Wires

“Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn’t the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating. Here I’ve posted a short video made with the photo, the music and the score (composed by the birds).” _ Jarbas Agnelli

Jagjaguwar is one of those few labels, always releasing exceptional music and beautiful album covers. 2009 has been a fantastic year for them, Volcano Choir‘s new album, Unmap is one of their many highlights of the year.
