Out of Sync splits up the main components that form the language of cinema to capture a defining moment in the lives of a married couple no longer in sync. The short film opens with images of the pair’s silent morning ritual, while the soundtrack reveals the fight they had the evening before. Later, as the viewer follows the husband driving away for work, the listener is confronted with an intimate phone call by the wife inviting her lover to come over. read more

Skateistan: To Live And Skate Kabul is a beautifully shot film directed by Orlando von Einsiedel that follows the lives of a group of young skateboarders in Afghanistan. Operating against the backdrop of war and bleak prospects, the Skateistan charity project is the world’s first co-educational skateboarding school, where a team of international volunteers work with girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 17, an age group largely untouched by other aid programmes.

The story of a man who copies himself until he fills up the entire world. This ”film” actually consists of nearly 18,000 photocopied frames, which are animated and filmed with a 35mm camera. The film won 32 international awards and was nominated for the Oscar 2001 (best short film). directed by Virgil Widrich.
