Folds is a 2-channel video installation with projections on 19th century plaster casts of Kladeos, Kephissos, Belvedere Torso, Seer and the Three Goddesses from the Bernhard August von Lindenau Collection. It connects to the fragmentary plaster casts, makes them flow with bygone colors, clothes them and wakes them for a moment, then to be stored as into the sediment of oblivion.

For the exhibition in the former monastery of Bellelay, Florian Graf turned the church into his own studio and apartment. In the entrance area, he built a 12 m high geometric sculpture which seemed to be supporting and at the same time destabilizing the Baroque architecture. The abstract monument within the monument appeared itself as an inhabitable structure. read more

In Body in Flight (Delta) and Body in Flight (American), Allora & Calzadilla appropriated the forms of state-of-the art elite business class seats and reproduced full-scale wooden replicas stained like polychromatic religious icons. In Body in Flight (Delta) the artists substitute the airline seat replica for a balance beam to be used by a female gymnast from USA Gymnastics—the national governing body for gymnastics in the U.S. read more

Born in Chesapeake, Virginia in 1975, Brett Amory is descended from a long line of visual artists and musicians. He studied at the Academy of Art from which he received a BFA in Fine Art in 2005 and was recipient of two major awards given by the school: The Student Choice Award for 2004 and Second Prize in landscape painting for 2003. He is the recipient of a gold medal from Online Artists Interviews, an international juried art competition (2009). read more
