John Stezaker’s work re-examines the various relationships to the photographic image: as documentation of truth, purveyor of memory, and symbol of modern culture. In his collages, Stezaker appropriates images found in books, magazines, and postcards and uses them as ‘readymades’. Through his elegant juxtapositions, Stezaker adopts the content and contexts of the original images to convey his own witty and poignant meanings. read more

Tom Wesselmann was born in Cincinnati / Ohio on 23 February 1931. He earned his living by working as a cartoonist for several journals and magazines as well as by teaching at a highschool in Brooklyn. At the end of the fifties a series of collages in small format were created being regarded as precursors of the later series “Great American Nudes” and “Still life” in big format. read more

Carole A. Feuerman is an American artist and hyper-realistic sculptor. She currently lives and works in New York. Feuerman is most known for her resin sculptures painted in oil, but she also utilizes other media such as bronze and stone. She developed a technique she calls “painting with fire where she pours, splatters and splashes up to five different molten metals that are 2000 degrees in temperature. read more
