Alexander Victor Schawinsky (1904 – 1979) also known as Xanti Schawinsky, was a multi-talented painter, photographer, architect, graphic designer, saxophonist and stage designer; his professional profile was as multifaceted as the man himself. He was and still is one of the few omnipresent Bauhausler. After leaving Bauhaus Dessau, he worked as a graphic designer in Italy, creating iconic artwork for major brands such as Cinzano, Motta, Illy, and Olivetti.
