Danish architectural company BIG is to build the Danish pavilion for the 2010 EXPO in Shanghai China. The pavilion will sport some of Copenhagen’s best attractions such as; the city bike, harbor bath, nature playground and an ecological picnic
In the middle of the pavilion one will find the original and iconic Little Mermaid sculpture which will visit China – the very first time she leaves Danish soil. She will be surrounded by sea-water from the harbor of Copenhagen.
The 1500 city bikes will afterwards be relocated to People’s Park in Shanghai for public use.
