Ana Popescu – Homes

“Homes” is a series of acrylic paintings on paper illustrating an utopian view of the concept of home. The exaggerated colors, the distorted perspectives and the emptiness of the living spaces and their surroundings make the work distance itself from a known reality to depict a new one. The work dissolutes itself from the characteristics of a personal living environment. The new architectural excerpts like the inside/outside views are the assembly parts of new integral spaces. « Homes » is also inspired by midcentury villas and modernist homes from around the world and especially from Palm Springs.
