The Time Machine by director Mark Kendall tells the story of the Honduras immigrant, Wilfredo Alvarez, who devotes his life as watchmaker to secure the busy time schedules of the citizens in New York. In the chaos of Grand Central Station everything is founded on and interconnected with time as one of the busiest places in New York City. Despite of the fact that clocks and time are the essence of this specialism, Alvarez finds himself in a timeless entity. He believes that making watches is a form of art, which requires quiet contemplation. In The Time Machine Mark Kendall visualises the passing of time extraordinary well, for which he has won fourteen awards at International Film Festivals. The Time Machine is also featured at this year’s Cannes Film Festival (16-27 May).
