Beautiful charcoal and pencil illustrations by artist Laurie Lipton.
She was the first person to graduate from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pennsylvania with a Fine Arts Degree in Drawing (with honours). She has lived in Holland, Belgium, Germany and France and has made her home in London since 1986.

Hoshino Yukinobu (b. 1954) is a world-famous manga artist. One of his most popular characters is Professor Munakata who investigates history and folklore in his manga adventures. In this display, you can see original artwork by Hoshino, including drawings showing the start of Professor Munakata’s new adventure set at the British Museum.
Exhibition ends 3 January 2010.

William H. Bradley was an American type designer, typographer, publisher and graphic designer. Born in 1868 in Massachusetts, at the age of twelve in Ishpeming, Michigan he began working in a printer’s shop introducing Bradley to the many issues of typesetting, layout and advertisements. This experience would become important and inspirational for Bradley’s later career. read more
