If I was to pick up smoking I would go for this stylish pack of American Club cigarettes designed in 1961 by Swiss typographer and designer Jost Hochuli. The lettering is set in Neue Haas Grotesk and Hochuli’s design is reminiscent of Constructivist work which had been reproduced in early issues of the journal Neue Grafik. read more

Roberto Calbucci is a Tokyo based 31 year-old painter and graphic designer from Italy. He has been working as an artist for many years, and only recently started a website/blog to show some of his work. ‘Superlatives in book design’ Round table discussion with members of the jury and experts from the field of book design. The competition “The most Beautiful Swiss Books” was launched as far back as 1943, when a jury of five experts selected the 25 most beautiful or best executed books. Thursday 29 October, 7.30pm at Cafe Oto in Dalston, London.
