We, The Masses is a short animated film based on the artwork of Robyn O’Neil. The film was conceived of at Werner Herzog’s Rogue Film School and funded by the Frameworks scheme with the support of the Irish Film Board, RTE and The Arts Council of Ireland. Directed by Eoghan Kidney.

Mankovsky was born in Poland but has lived most of his life in Sweden where he studied graphic design at Beckmans College of Advertising before relocating to London where he has been directing promos, commercials and short films and collecting armfuls of awards. read more

Aleksandr Petrov’s style from the late 1980s onward can be characterized as a type of Romantic realism. People, animals and landscapes are painted and animated in a very realistic fashion, but there are many sections in his films where Petrov attempts to depict a character’s inner thoughts and dreams. Mermaid was nominated for an OSCAR in 1998 for Best Animated Short Film.
