Starring multidisciplinary artist Rene Matic, Smug is a moving portrait soundtracked by a passage Rene wrote expressing her feelings towards her surrounding world, and being in her body today.
The film was made for Straight8 Shootout, where creative companies from around the world compete for charity. It was one of 15 competition films, all shot on one roll of super8 film with no editing or post allowed, screened for the first time – even to their makers – at the Straight8 show during the Cannes Lion festival.
