“I knot a thread until no other knot can be added.”

According to this plan, I worked on a kilometre long thread of sewing silk from Oktober 2000 until November 2004. I just added one knot next to the other. On 03/31/2003 the entire material was thus worked over for the first time, and had been reduced to a length of 233 m. I then began to knot the thread once more, which lasted until 09/20/2004 and reduced the material to 58 m. On 11/03/2004, the thread was three times knotted and compressed to a length of 12,30 m. Until 11/06/2004 I knotted the thread a fourth (3,35 m), a fifth (0,85 m) and a sixth time, which finished the work. _Jens Risch
