Richard Kern – ‘Shot by Kern’

Recently VBS.TV has completed a documentary which follows American pornographer and artist Richard Kern as he embarks on a six-country European tour photographing young women in various states of undress and self-love for his worldwide art exhibitions, regularly published books, and features in the pages of Vice magazine. We caught up with Kern before his exhibition ‘Shot by Kern’ opens tomorrow 21 May in East London. read more

Justin James King was born in the historic town of Saratoga Springs, New York. From an early age he became interested in the landscape, particularly its history and connotations. Justin studied sculpture at The School of The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, but in 2006 while living in San Francisco, made a strict transition to large format photography. read more

Yusuf Sevincli was born in Zonguldak, Turkey in 1980. Graduated from the Communication Faculty at Marmara University in Istanbul in 2002. Gained experience as a photographer for various newspapers and magazines between 2000 and 2004. Finished a masterclass on documentary photography in Nordens Fotoskola, Sweden in 2004. Eyjafjallajökull – Iceland

“So I saw all of these mediocre pictures of that volcano in Iceland nobody can pronounce the name of, so I figured I should go and do better. But the flights to get over took forever as expected (somewhat). 4 days after leaving I finally made it, but the weather was terrible for another 4. Just before leaving it got pretty good for about a day and a half and this is what I managed to get.” _Sean Stiegemeier
