Based in Paris, Paul Empson works as a fashion photographer where he has shot editorials for some of the big magazines. Though, I have chosen to show a photograph from his personal portfolio that I very much like.

Ballet and bass drum – its Friday. Fashion icon Hedi Slimane has recently directed this potent short film in collaboration with VMAN. Its stars the only 16 year old Danish ballet dancer Oscar Nilsson from the Royal Danish Ballet Theatre and a drummer with a bear head.

SENKO Studio is a non-profit gallery based in Viborg, Denmark. The gallery showcases work and projects from disciplines such as video, photography, installation and fashion. Each participating artist has to produce a print for a limited edition T-shirt, postcard or poster.

A visit to Paul’s Hat Works in the Richmond district of San Francisco. Paul’s is a 90-year-old men’s hatter, now under the ownership of four young women. The film explores their position as women at the heart of a traditionally male-dominated business, as well as their dedication to quality, handmade goods. Directed by John Rory Fraser.
