Marcel Duchamp – Anemic Cinema

Anemic Cinema An experimental film made by Marcel Duchamp(1926). The film depicts whirling animated drawings – which Duchamp called Rotoreliefs – alternated with puns in French. Duchamp signed the film with his alter ego name of Rrose Sélavy.

External Heart is an interactive art-work by Japanese media artist MIO I-ZAWA, of which the theme is the “body clock”. A heart on wheels that beats and rolls in sync with the user’s pulse.

Our competition ‘Create a Mixtape and Accompanying Artwork’ which ran through March and April graced us with many interesting submissions. Though as in any competition, a winner has to be found, so we are very proud of presenting quite a surprise in terms of artwork and its contributor – a chicken and a magistrate from Palermo. May’s Mixtape is the outcome of our competition ‘Create a Mixtape and Accompanying Artwork’ and send it to us. Rather surprised we were when UPS delivered a package labeled “express” to our office – but further excitement was awaiting us. As we opened the well sealed box and moved some cooling elements, yeah thats right, cooling elements, the smell of fresh chicken appeared! read more
