The Massar Children’s Discovery Centre will be the heart of a Syrian educational programme – Massar. The centre will through science-based, hands-on experiences offer activities to empower young Syrians to contribute actively in building their future, by Danish architect group Henning Larsen Architects. Expected completion 2013.

Candice Milon is particularly fascinated with the history of painting and its classical symbolism. Early on she developed the idea of introducing these traditional themes into the world of the photographic image. Eager to incorporate the notion of a particular sense of stillness that many classical paintings contain, she shoots in a way that replicates a sense of isolation.

Born 1971 in Jerusalem, Israel, Elinor Carucci graduated in 1995 from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design with a degree in photography, and moved to New York that same year. In a relatively short amount of time, her work has been included in an impressive amount of solo and group exhibitions worldwide.
