Manshen Lo

Manshen Lo is a visual artist living in London and a graduate of the Royal College of Art. She directs and art directs animated short films and commercials, as well as taking on illustration, fashion styling, and private artwork commissions as a freelancer.
Her approach to drawing and painting has its roots in East Asia, whilst taking influence from sequential art, cinematography and the ligne claire style.
The animated short film Wednesday with Goddard she collaborated on was widely celebrated for its combination of exquisitely crafted pencil drawings and minimalist compositions and designs. The film won the award for Best Animated Short at SXSW 2016, and was selected in festivals such as Annecy, Ottawa, Edinburgh, Encounters and Go Shorts.
