This is one of the only buildings in London that can lift depression. Each concrete block in the building is hand cast and hand hammered. Certainly the best bannisters in town.

Istanbul / Place

Many places on the European and Asian sides of Istanbul can offer great views of the Bosphorus. But the shoreline in Üsküdar is unique for its limitless sight of the city’s historical skyline and modern architecture, all at once. Büfes along the shoreline offer some local foods, and it’s easy to grab a snack from a passing vendor. Seating is below the street level with comfortably broken-in cushions.

Ho Chi Minh City / Cafe

A perfect place to hide from the traffic and the crowded streets of Saigon. Here you will get some peace and quiet to log on some wifi and start instagramming! That is something you actually have to do here. Because of the beautiful vintage interior, this café might be one of the most instagrammable coffee shops in town. Oh and the coffee is quite good too!

Design and Architecture centre in Oslo. They have some quite cool professional exhibitions here as well as student graduate exhibitions. It’s a really nice building (which you would kind of expect) right next to the river that divides the east and west of Oslo.

Let your imagination run wild in this surreal London Park. Crystal Palace is a great place to walk around dinosaurs and get introduced in prehistoric vibes. Sculptor Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins was commissioned to make lifesized models of newly discovered dinosaurs back in 1952. They were the first dinosaur sculptures in the world, pre-dating the publication of Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species. They have been recently remodelled in 2002. Note: family and children friendly over the weekends

North of Neede lies a beautiful, gently sloping landscape shaped 150.000 years ago by an ice age. Great place to cycle or walk.

Munich / Place

I have been accepted as guest in a community house for students.One hundred people live here, most of them are here since ages and have never moved out. And indeed, sometimes I felt like in a cruise boat where if I wanted I could have spend months in without needing to go out. This place is almost like a city in the city, where you get a daily backer delivery, where the fridges are always refilled with beers, and a massive bank of films and music is available through the intranet network. Everything is organised. For that they have some in house politics, ruled by “democraticaly” elected ministers. So you have the plant minister, the kitchen minister, the toilet-paper minister, the cooking-herbs minister...I know it sounds silly but it is very serious for them. I see that as a very typical German place. Somehow.

His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Paris Design Week, Milan Design Week, Frankfurt Light & Building and the Stockholm Furniture Fair.
