Botequim Paulista feels like the only place to go when you feel like meeting up with your friends or something like it. It's traditional boteco, with tables in the street, the two owners as waiters and very see-what-happens food - ovo de codorna, sliced calabrezza and peanuts.

Placed in the city center. A place to stroll around in, watch tourists, plants, trees, birds and garden workers.

My walk through the Heath often continues on to the Camden Arts Centre, a really fantastic exhibition space that runs workshops and courses as well as having a great café and bookshop to boot. I collect their exhibition booklets called File Notes - beautifully designed by James Goggin and Sarah De Bondt - some memorable shows include Eva Hesse Studiowork, The Bruce Lacey Experience and Serena Korda’s Aping the Beast. The latter concluded with a procession from the gallery up to the Heath, culminating in a re-enactment of The Battle of the River Plate in a pond. Situated in a beautiful building with a real art (biased here), Elizabeth St. serves the best breakfast báhn mî and makes you feel good just being there.

Stumbled upon this beauty of garden while walking in the neighbourhood. The setting was perfect for reading, journaling or just being. Very therapeutic.

Home to all the toys you'd probably forgotten about.

One of my favorites in Antwerp. Great food, even though the menu does not change often. Great natural wine selection as well and in summer you can sit outside on the square.
