Naoshima is one of the most breathtaking places I've ever visited. It's an art island, full of wonderful museums and art objects immersed in stunning, calm and paradise-like nature. Rent a bike and enjoy all that beauty. If you are Yayoi Kusama's or Tadao Ando's fan, you know what I mean.

London institution, a magical place to have tea and cake and a perfect spot to watch London Soho life unfold before your eyes. The quality is always superb, the staff are friendly and human and the landladies Michelle and Tanya are part of what make this place and London so magical. A little gem that is a must on anyone's visit to London.

Patxi Zumárraga, Nino Redruello and Jaime Santianes are the chefs in charge of the kitchen, three former Bulli who have combined their gastronomic knowledge to propose a market cuisine where respect for the product prevails.

Lost Eras has easily become one of my favorite shops to explore; hidden just outside of Chicago, it stretches far and narrow, crowded with lost treasures. Walking through it, it's hard not to begin imagining the stories of the objects that turn up in its walls, and the people that once held them. Not to mention the building itself is a piece of history, as in the 1920's it was home of the night club the "Club Detour" which had many artists play in it's halls such as Louis Armstrong, Count Basey and Ella Fitzgerald.

The Acropolis Museum is an archaeological museum located in Athens, Greece, near the Acropolis hill. It was built to house and display artifacts from the Acropolis of Athens, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece. The museum opened to the public in 2009 and is considered one of the most important and impressive museums in Greece. It is built over an archaeological site and features exhibits from the Archaic and Classical periods of ancient Greece, including sculptures, pottery, and other artifacts. One of the main attractions of the Acropolis Museum is the Parthenon Gallery, which displays many of the surviving sculptures and friezes from the Parthenon, including several of the famous Elgin Marbles that were taken to Britain in the 19th century. The museum also features exhibits from other important buildings on the Acropolis, such as the Erechtheion and the Temple of Athena Nike. The museum is designed to be a modern and interactive space, with multimedia exhibits and displays that help visitors understand the history and significance of the artifacts on display. It also features a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Acropolis and the city of Athens.

A nice little spot for some coffee and custom made bagel sandwiches where neighbourhood people hang out with their laptops. Awesome beet juice not to be missed!

One of my favourite places to get coffee in downtown Stratford. Great coffee and treats made in house as well as lunch options to sit in or take out. The chocolate chip and sea salt cookie is a staple for our son Tomo.

First retail outlet of a bakery brand who has already been enjoying long time support from their community through bakery workshops and online delivery. Other then the premium ingredients and creative flavor making, the shop itself is quite neat in terms of the location down the historic alley and beautiful interior. Staffs are humble too. 

Furnishings

Had a quick stop over in Miami en route to Mexico, and I knew the perfect place to go- The Wynwood Walls. Graffiti art has become quite a fixture in our modern day cities and it's been fascinating seeing more graffiti artists showcased in museums and galleries around the world. Coming from LA I see quite an array of artists in the city as Los Angeles is such a creative mecca for artists. Having said that, with all of our painted walls and exhibitions, Wynwood Walls is definitely one of the best spaces I've seen showcasing street art. All the walls are flanked with beautiful murals, painted by some of the world's leading street artists like Shepard Fairey, Tristan Eaton, and Audrey Kawasaki. Besides being a photo-op hot spot, it's also a very relaxing environment with plenty of spaces to sit and relax in while enjoying the artwork.

It’s easy to get lost in the density and chaos of New York but there are opportunities to step outside of it for a macro view. Chartering a sailboat on the Hudson is a great way to escape and see the city in a different light, especially at night.
