If you're anywhere near the Cathedral Quarter. and in search of a Guinness (or beverage of choice), Muriel’s Café Bar will call out to to you with a great big warm glow. A haven of velvet and neon, with a string of fancy pants adorning the ceiling (perfectly normal). This was a cosy, friendly bar, with an enviable liquor collection. We went back a couple of times during our stay. We didn't eat there but I think it does food too.

Minimalist Bar with a pleasantly dark atmosphere in the 5th district. Exceptionally good espresso and equally good cocktails. Drinks are made with love and passion. In addition, smaller, freshly prepared Italian snacks such as tramezzini are also served. Nice music. Family atmosphere.

If Dogs Run Free is a great place to have coffee or a cocktail or both. It is located between Naschmarkt and Museumsquartier and always worth a stop. It has a calm and cool atmosphere. They also serve some great homemade sandwiches. They offer a small but great selection of drinks and at night it is usually packed.  It is designed by two architects and the ceiling installation is changing every year.

The Kerameikos Archaeological Museum is a museum located in Athens, Greece, that houses archaeological artifacts from the ancient Athenian cemetery of Kerameikos. The cemetery was in use from the 8th century BCE until Roman times and was the final resting place for many important figures of ancient Athens. The museum contains a collection of funerary monuments, statues, reliefs, and other artifacts discovered during excavations of the Kerameikos cemetery. One of the most notable exhibits is the Stele of Hegeso, a 4th-century BCE marble relief that depicts a young woman examining her jewelry. The museum also contains a large collection of grave stelae, which were used to mark graves and often contained depictions of the deceased and their families. In addition to the permanent exhibits, the museum also hosts temporary exhibitions that showcase artifacts from other archaeological sites in Greece. The museum is located near the ancient Agora and the Acropolis, making it a popular destination for tourists interested in ancient Greek history and culture. Overall, the Kerameikos Archaeological Museum is an important cultural institution that preserves and displays artifacts from the ancient Athenian cemetery of Kerameikos, providing insight into the funerary customs and beliefs of the ancient Greeks.

A protected area on the north-east of the island where you can find a very old rainforest at the top and some beaches at the bottom. This difference between the vegetation, the weather and the landscape from one area to the other one makes it a very interesting place for hiking, and there are many routes for that. The mood in the forest during misty days (the clouds collide against this part of the island) is just magical. The picture was taken while hiking around the top and those colors are because of clays made of different compositions.

Started by DJ Travieza and La Mendoza, the monthly celebration at Bahia Bar has become a premier gathering point for queer folks looking for a safe space to grind to reggaeton, cumbia, dembow, and basically anything other than the house music and Madonna songs that dominate the city's gay parties.
