The 3.000 square meters space used to be a parking lot and was transformed into an exquisit palace of food. The venue is divided into four restaurants, each specialised in something else. Meat, fish, tapas & rice, delicatessen. And in the center, four counters specialised in cava, wine, beer and cocktails. There’s even an oyster & champagne bar, for the chic & fancy.

Little restaurant on the river just south of the Old Town. As in most chinese restaurants in town, food is not the best quality but it's eatable enough if you are hungry enough. I go there mostly in spring and after summer and usually have a beer next to the river afterwards.

Astar is a new café just opened around my neighborhood, and I am glad it opened! The decoration is cute, with lots of old furniture, including tables and chairs from elementary schools. The owner is only 29 years old, who had a dream of having a shop selling everything, so he started saving money since 15. It certainly brought a new atmosphere to the area, where is known for financial centre. Since the owner was a bartender at a famous bar in Taipei, don’t forget to order a customized cocktail not on the menu!

I was born in St Petersburg, then, at 11, moved to Siberia where I have lived for 12 more years, graduated from a local university before returning to my hometown in 1998. I took various jobs there before finally turning to photography. From last August I am based in Moscow, a mad metropolis full of contrasts, energy and drama at every corner. In terms of urban design and architecture, many consider it a failed city, and you really have to know it from the inside to be able to appreciate its vibrance and dynamics. In this nostalgic picture (by Savva Bogatyrev), I am on a tram back in St Pete with my wife Veronika.
