Antwerp / Restaurant

Visit this place for delicious Korean inspired food in a contemporary setting. We just found out the best way to eat here is to share a bunch of small dishes, make sure to order our personal favourite: porkbelly bo ssam. Add some soju and beer for a successful evening.

Philadelphia / Bridge

The best free activity in Philly. Take a walk up the ramp at 5th & Race Street to the middle of the bridge and look forward to see Camden, NJ, our sister city. Look back to see Philadelphia. Cooler by 10 degrees than the rest of the city in Summer and a beautiful breezy spot to take in the landscape in crisp Winter light, the middle of the BFB never disappoints.

Barcelona / Art

Salvador Dalí often visited Cadaqués in his childhood, and later kept a home in Port Lligat, a small village on a bay next to the town. A summer holiday here in 1916, spent with the family of Ramon Pichot is seen as especially important to Dalí's artistic career. Other notable artists, including Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Marcel Duchamp, Richard Hamilton, Albert Ràfols-Casamada, Antoni Pitxot, Henri-François Rey, Melina Mercouri and Maurice Boitel also spent time here. Cadaqués is mentioned in the story "Tramontana" by Gabriel García Márquez.

Madrid / Hotel

This is a fabulous Hotel called Silken Puerta América, where each floor is designed by a different architect. It is open for public visiting. This year the Hotel was hosting the art fair Just Madrid and I was totally amazed by the first floor design of my favorite architect Zaha Hadid.

Amsterdam / Cinema

Gorgeous cinema near the Rembrandtsplein. Built in the early 1920s in a very rich architectural style that mixes Jugendstil, the Amsterdam School and Art Deco, the cinema was meant to be a temple for cinematography. The entrance and the main auditorium (Zaal 1) are just simply stunning. It’s been recently restored in its former splendor and is now owned by big distributor Pathé Cinemas. Though a lot of people have been criticizing the fact that a beautiful cinema as this is now exploited by a big commercial chain, I sort of like that fact that also the big blockbusters are usually screened here. It feels like the old days where I imagine you’d simply get overwhelmed by the place and the film and its technique. So my advice is: whatever (crap) plays in Zaal 1, just buy a bag of popcorn, sit back and enjoy.

Dubai / Place

The world's tallest tower, Burj Al Khalifa, I think is architecturally the nicest building in Dubai. It has a bar on the top floor called Atmosphere which gives access to the highest point of the city.

Stockholm / Place

When Stockholm is cold and the plants I have at home are dying I like to visit the greenhouse at Bergianska. It's such a beautiful place.

New York / Restaurant

It was a warm evening in the city and not yet dark. We arrived, giddy and happy, and he ordered two glasses of prosecco. The waiter managed to fit onto our tiny wood table two plates of tartines, a legumes dish, and a tray of fromage. And then we shared dessert. I can’t remember exactly but it must have been chocolate.

Jen Osborne is a Canadian photographer whose work has been published and exhibited internationally. She was raised on Vancouver Island, in small-town Courtenay. Her career as a photographer was started by a yearlong work contract with Fabrica, the United COLORS of Benetton Research Centre, in 2008. Jennifer has an interest in portraying people who feel a need to escape. Jennifer has exhibited in group shows at various venues including: Arles 2010, Aperture Gallery, The Museum de l’Elysée, Studio La Città, Azzedine Alaïa, Art Basel Miami, Catalog Gallery and CarréRotondes. She was named one of Canada's top emerging photographers in both 2010 and 2011 by the Magenta Foundation. Jen is also a part of the ReGeneration2 book publication and traveling exhibition. In 2012, she was the recipient of the Pride Photo Award under the “Chameleons” category for her work in Vancouver, Canada, and she placed 2nd in Photovisa IV’s “The Face” competition. Jen currently resides in Berlin, Germany, where she continues to work as a freelance photographer and produces personal work.

Helga has worked with clients such as: New York Times T-Magazine, New York Magazine - The Cut, Ryan McGinley Studios, Rauschenberg Foundation, Walter Schupfer Management, Mac Cosmetics, Sweden Unlimited, Bullett Media, Conrad Rosett, Mango, Ebay, Allianz, amm. Through the experimentation with the medium she is blurring the boundaries between fashion and art. Helga is known for her cautious, calculated approach and varied photographic style with strong attention paid to details and colour schemes. Her focus is squarely on people. Helga is based in Brooklyn/New York City.
