An Amazonian blend of plants and vines spill from it's interiors, complimenting the concrete architecture that surrounds it. A nod towards films such as Logan's Run, the conservatory forms an almost utopian sci-fi environment.

Providence / Bookstore

Cellar Stories is, hands-down, my favorite used book store of all time. I have never left without buying a book. They have especially large sci-fi, art, cooking, and antiquarian sections, as well as a lot of great books on local New England history. Their organization system is lovingly chaotic, but profoundly helpful to finding exactly what you didn't know they needed. A must for any reader or artist.

London / Restaurant

On Burlington Gardens in Mayfair, Cecconi’s is a modern-day classic Italian restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. Cecconi’s serves handmade pasta, seafood and dishes from Italy using the finest ingredients. The restaurant has outposts in West Hollywood, Miami, Istanbul, Berlin, Barcelona, New York, and Mumbai.

Museumscafé im Jenisch Haus: take a walk along the Elbe river, reach the Jenisch Park, at the middle of the green meadow you will see a white dice, that's the Jenisch House, stop by for a coffe or a tea and a slice of cake. Perfect place for a break with a sunny day even better with a rainy day. Close by there is the Ernst Barlach House, museum of the expressionist sculptor Ernst Barlach.

Lawrence / Museum

This is my favorite place in Lawrence. I always enjoy attending the educational events frequently held here. When I first visited, I fell in love with the un-updated look and teal walls with curved archways. When you walk in the front doors, the first thing you see is an incredible panoramic display of mammals. I could stand in front of the panorama forever; I often go there to feel inspired.

Easing in the park, the city facing you and traffic honking its way over the Brooklyn Bridge. Best enjoyed on a late-summer afternoon/night.

Born in a working-class family in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2003, Jorge Camarotti moved to Montreal, where he pursued a career as a professional photographer and then as filmmaker. Since his beginnings in filmmaking 10 years ago, Jorge has directed more than a dozen short films, both documentary and fiction, always remaining true to giving voice to the most aggrieved individuals of our society. Jorge wrote and directed Kinship (2019), which was selected in many reputable film festivals such as Palm Springs International, Maryland, Clermont-Ferrand, and Regard which received a nomination at the 2020 Canadian Screen Awards for Best Live-Action. His most recent project Ousmane had its world premiere at TIFF 2021 followed by an international premiere at the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand festival in 2022, and earned the director a second nomination for Best Live-Action at the Canadian Screen Awards 2022. Ousmane has accumulated more than 50 official selections in film festivals around the world, receiving more than 10 awards, including Best Narrative short at Aspen International Film Festival and a Grand-Prize at Indy Shorts, both Academy Awards qualifying festivals. Besides working as a mentor for aspiring BIPOC filmmakers, Jorge is now working on his first feature film, Edith. Edith was selected at the highly regarded TIFF Labs for development in 2021.
