Set in the natural area of Deinze it features outdoor swimming and a little cafe where you can grab a drink and a bite. Although off the beaten track from the large national galleries, 198 is no less an important part of London’s artistic heritage. Developed during the social unrest in the Brixton area in the 1980s, 198 has grown from a community arts space into an exciting contemporary visual arts body that is often the first place to see the next rising star of the London art scene.

Its name means something like "naked mountain", and it's so true, there are almost no plants growing on it. Placed also close to El Medano village but on the opposite side compared to Montaña Roja, there are a few tiny beaches hidden inside it and also another one in its outer side, closer to the road. Once again, the powerful volcanic appeal... Those hidden bays are a great place to spend the day naked and laying on the sand, specially when there's no one else around and you feel like the king of the place ;) I grew up in El Medano, that's maybe why I appreciate the surroundings that much.

I probably spend too much time here but I love it for the atmosphere. During the day it’s quite empty. The proprietor is often dozing in the back corner and you can read for hours with just one cup of tea without anyone bothering you. It picks up in the evenings as all the regulars pile in with pre-bought bottles of wine.

Full circle is a hidden gem which is just 5 minutes from the Leeds City Centre. This eccentric space is an open plan two floor studio, where you can go enjoy a good food, look at art, purchase clothes, watch films and also where you can go for a cracking night out. Make sure you look out for Mono_Cult events which are hosted there, as they are certainly some of the best nights out I have had in Leeds.

This is a pretty nice vinyl record store specialized in finding and trading rare vinyl and special CD Editions. I bought most of my minimal/house records there. But it's also fun browsing through huge collections of old soul/funk/hip hop records.
