The mountain is celebrated for its many appearances in a series of paintings by Paul Cézanne. Sainte-Victoire Mountain has been recognised as a Grand Site de France since 2004 and is a French jewel of natural heritage which must be preserved. Covering 35,000 hectares near Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, the Concors and Sainte-Victoire massifs form the largest single wooded area in the department of Bouches du Rhône, and residents, walkers, hunters and those who love sport, nature and heritage all happily co-exist there.

I like this place to cool off during hot summer days. Have a short walk upriver and let yourself float down by the green and fresh water, sourcing from Lake of Zurich. If you have the guts, throw yourself down the crossing bridge.

Milan / Bar

Even the most unconventional tourist would never leave Milan without visiting Piazza del Duomo. Well, since you’re there you must have a traditional “aperitivo” (to get before lunch or before dinner) at the Bar Zucca where Verdi and Toscanini used to go, back from the Scala Theatre. We never sit at the nice small tables located apart, we like to enjoy our Rabarbaro Zucca standing in the crowd of the bar - just try it.

Hands down for the best burger joint in town. They also serve some great cocktails. The proof is in the pudding, so go over and grab a bite!

Dublin / Beach

Sandymount is the closest beach to the city center of Dublin. It is always great to go there for a wander around. It is so close yet still feels as if you are on holidays around there. I have mixed feelings about the industrial estate beside the beach but I love walking around there too, the 2 industrial towers are considered a beautiful iconic landmark on the Dublin skyline.

Fresh is best. The best place in Melbourne for fresh cheese. The Buffalo Mozzarella and the creamy Ricotta are to die for. I used to have to wait years and fly half way across the globe to my home in Italy just to bite into one of these creamy morsels of goodness. Now my life can be defined by the ‘pre La Latteria period’ and the ‘post La Latteria period’.

Emiliano has received numerous honors including the Young Guns Award from the New York Art Directors Club and the coveted Gold Cube from The Art Directors Club of New York. He has won multiple medals of honor (gold and silver) from the Society of Illustrators New York, and award recognition from Society of Illustrators Los Angeles and the 3×3 Magazine Pro show. Awards of excellence have appeared in Print, How International Design Award, Communication Arts Illustration Annuals and American Illustration Annuals. “10×10”, his first monograph (Italian-English edition), was published by Corraini (Italy) in 2011 and sold out of both first and second editions. His first picture book “The Journey of the Penguin” was published in fall 2015 by Penguin Books for it’s 80th anniversary. His second one “ The great New York subway map” will be published by the MOMA of New York next February 2018. He is considered one of the finest illustrators of his generation.

My work is an ongoing exploration across media, ranges from performance, drawing, painting, and photography. In my artistic practice, I contemplate about the role of materials, various media, the body, and performative elements in the process of mark making gestures. I am interested in expressing ideas about how the notion of identity, displacement, and memory are held in the body. I develop performative methods that break down boundaries between various disciplines. Through Inter-media performative practice, I incorporate the body as a material, object, and subject. I utilize the camera as a tool to capture and record my studio and staged performances, as well as activating time, space and light with body movement.  I'm interested in the complexity of performative documentation, and the potential of both traditional and new advanced media in these representations.
