Great area on the shore of Kungsholmen in Stockholm, just a couple of stops from the city centre on the tube . Ideal for a swim or summer (or winter for that matter) barbecue with friends.

Having the experience of owning and running a coral reef aquarium (and frequenting this particular shop about once a week) - I was sad to hear it closed it's doors. Their reef display tank was always amazing. These pictures were taken from PetCo at Union Square (I also used to go there for my saltwater needs).

I worked at the Barbican for several years and during that time became very fond of its architecture. One of my favourite spaces within the centre is the conservatory, a giant tropical garden in the middle of a concrete city.

Well known as being J.R.R. Tolkien’s inspiration for ‘Middle Earth’ in the Lord of the Rings books, Cannock Chase (colloquially ‘The Chase’) is somewhere that friends and I have frequented for many years. If you go to a part called Broc Hill at just the right time, you can literally just sit there and watch the sun disappear behind the horizon, and witness some stunning gradients in the sky. Also a great place for running and photography—you even get to see the odd few deer just bounding around. Cannock Chase is officially listed as one of England’s ‘Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ (AONB).

I can’t get enough of the dioramas, but my favorite parts of the AMNH are the Halls of Meteorites and Minerals. There are some beautiful specimens here, and best of all you can actually lay your hands on the 4.5-billion-year-old Cape York Meteorite.

This is the most ALIVE part of the city and it's smack in the center of downtown. Here'll you'll find....Spontaneous drum circles. People lingering for hours over bottles of wine. Some dude dancing alone to music inside his head. Professors hanging out with their students. Hoopers doing their thing (Carrboro is the East Coast capital of hopping). People from different continents discussing politics and arcane academic issues. Musicians from whatever band is in town that night happy to be able to grab a healthy meal. This is the true center of town and a place where you can end up spending giant chunks of the day and night.

Meadow Mountain is a sweet little spot for ski or snowboard touring, paragliding and snowmobiling in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. The skiing down is quite mellow so it's a good option when the snow pack in Colorado is still unstable or when you're a beginner at ski touring. Pack a backpack and trek all the way to the hut where you can camp for the night. Then, ski down the mountain again the day after.

This secret garden, positioned behind San Miniato al Monte, just a few steps away from one of the most beautiful look out points Florence has to offer, Piazzale Michaelangelo. Here is a quaint whimsical hideaway. Coming from my small town roots, completely surrounded by nature; finding this miniature grove was a gold mine. Here, you will find trees, things I immensely love and miss; this slice of nature here gives me a refreshing taste of purity and comfort.

My name is Torbjörn Kihlberg and I work as a Designer at The Studio. We combine marketing and design to help brands define their positions, create a unique voice and build sustainable values. I have been studying graphic design and digital strategy, as well as communication and leadership during my learning journey. What I love most about my job is the possibility to develop people, their communication, as well as building strong and interesting brands. I'm very driven by developing my own skills and learning new things and I get very inspired by my incredible colleagues, our interesting clients and entrepreneurship. Everything is possible with the right mindset. I'm always aiming to develop on a personal level, which is one of the reasons why I love traveling and meeting new people. I believe you learn something new from every single person you meet, and that visiting new places gives you new perspectives in life.

Leading Kutarq studio, architect and designer Jordi López Aguiló designs lighting, objects and furniture with a unique and pragmatic perspective. Each project involves a methodical process that emphasizes both material and research. With the constant challenge of revealing the "soul" behind his objects, he offers their users not just an aesthetic piece but rather a design with personality and a life of its own. After spending time abroad collaborating with prestigious architecture and design firms in Paris and Copenhagen, he finished his master in Barcelona and decided to finally settle down in his home town Valencia where he's been leading his own studio since 2012.
