Zürich / Place

The Langstrasse is probably one of the most famous streets in Zurich. It's dirty, rough and full of life. A lot of nice bars, clubs and galleries are located around this street. Some may call it the heart of Zurich. If you're there, have a look at the bar Longstreet, the Perla Moda, the Zukunft and the Dante.

Amsterdam / Museum

It's a very small museum in the Hermitage about art made by outsiders. It's also known as 'Art Brut', a name given to it in 1972 by French artist Jean Dubuffet. It simply means that it is art made by people that don't fit in the normal life structure that humans suppose to have. Which can mean that the art is made by people who are in jail, who are ill, have a mental dissability or another way of not fitting into the community. The exhibitions are quite small, so it takes you just around an hour. And the hermitage has a nice canal view.

London / Bookstore

Everyone who works at Daunt Books seems to have the answer to any question you might have, watching my large dog carefully navigate their narrow aisles is always fun too.

London / Cafe

This is my new local cafe. Healthy food, lovely people and great atmosphere. My favourites are the kyuri cleanse juice, the Avodon and the Joy's salad. Great place for meetings too.

Buenos Aires / Restaurant

Burgio is the classic pizza porteña place, one of many in the city of Buenos Aires. Don't expect any similarities with Napolitan style pizza. At Burgio you usually "eat & go" at the bar, the two-slice + Quilmes beer "PROMO". We call it "Pizza al molde".

Amsterdam / Theatre

A theatre hidden in the man made forest on the outskirts of Amsterdam. An impressive setting with impressive shows. Watching an interesting piece under the stars is quite a memorable experience. Further more it's a nice bike ride leading you past rowing waters, fields to play picnic in or a pancake house if you feel like something warm and sweet.

My favorite cafe in Taipei. For friends gathering, gossiping, discussing, it is more about just having a lunch. The meals are wonderful. I cannot remember how many times I sat here.

Bas van Wieringen (b. 1983, NL) lives and works in Amsterdam. Bas graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2011. Born in 1990, Antoine Duruflé grew up in Paris. In his studies, he went through the famous illustration section of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. Yet his work is closer today to the field of painting. Color is an integral part of his pictorial identity. The attraction for this one, was revealed by its practice of the image printed in screen-printing workshop. She carries it gradually in a surreal nature, which blurs the clear lines of the illustration. The fictional universe that he builds tightly binds him to the realm of music that calls him to create visuals close to a certain fantasy and a utopian world.
