Nendaz / Area

If you're around Verbier or any of the nearby 4 valleys, and if you're in to ski touring, drop out the backside from Mont Fort and get ready for your life's hike. This mountain landscape is absolutely breathtaking and the snow is fantastic. Although, make sure you're fully geared up for the backcountry, have read the weather and avalanche reports and that you go out with a good team that you can trust. Ski to live another day!

Nancy / Museum

The Musée de l'École de Nancy is a museum devoted to the "École de Nancy", an artistic movement founded in 1901. The museum, opened in 1964, it has a wonderful garden, an aquarium pavilion, and the main building contains works by all the major "Art Nouveau" artists from Nancy. Exposed collections are made of rooms decorated in "Art Nouveau" style, filled with atypical objects of art designed by leading representatives of this french artistic movement.

Kw is a great art institute situated at the backyard of a very eastern part of town, place for many other small galleries. Auguststrasse is worth the walk and Kw is worth the stop.

No they do not serve schnitzel, it’s next to Veranda one of the best low key gems in Antwerp... Creative clever dishes, without too much hocus pocus. Natural wines.

Oslo / Bar

Excellent bar, nice music in warm red interior (with original Pushwagner on the wall). It´s small and usually full, but somehow I always get a table quickly.

Athens / Monument

The Ancient Agora of Athens was the central public space in the city of Athens during the Classical period of ancient Greece. It served as a place for citizens to gather for political, commercial, and social activities. The Agora was originally used as a marketplace, but over time it became a place for public gatherings, religious ceremonies, and political debates. My all-time favourite place. Whitewashed ex-smokehouse where Fergus Henderson pioneered the resurgent interest in offal dishes. The restaurant is brilliantly unfussy, retaining lots of the smokehouse’s original features, and the food very British, making St. JOHN something of a London institution. The restaurant has a winery and bakery.

The Numismatic Museum of Athens, also known as Iliou Melathron, is a museum dedicated to the history of currency and coinage in Greece and the broader Mediterranean region. It is located in the Ilisia neighborhood of Athens, Greece, and is housed in a 19th-century mansion that was originally built for the renowned archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann. The museum's collection includes over 600,000 coins, as well as medals, decorations, and paper currency, spanning from ancient Greece to modern times. It is one of the largest and most important collections of coins in the world, and is known for its unique and rare specimens, such as the famous Syracusan dekadrachm from the 5th century BC. Rick Banks, is a graphic designer, typographer, publisher and proud northerner. Working under the moniker of Face37 he has helped create some of the world's most loved brands, including EE, Triumph Motorcycles, AXA, British Heart Foundation and adidas. Specialising in brand, book and type design, his work has won numerous awards, including a yellow pencil from D&AD and a TDC from the Type Directors Club in Tokyo. He has been featured in the Creative Review Annual, as well as receiving recognition from the respected Creative Circle, Communication Arts, TDC (NY) and ISTD. His work has been published internationally, and exhibited in the London Design Museum and Ginza Graphic Gallery in Tokyo. His products, such as Type Trumps, have sold worldwide and can be found in respected design retailers around the world, from the Tate Modern in London to the Museum of Modern Art in New York. And his foundry, F37, has released fonts including Bella and Ginger, licensed by global brands such as Google, Selfridges and PepsiCo, with the foundry’s website winning awards for digital innovation in the process. Rick takes an active role in the design community, lecturing on branding and typography around the world, and judging various awards including the ‘Crafts for Design’ category for the 2017 D&AD awards. Even more important to him though is the role that design can play in bettering the world around him, having donated both his time and publishing proceeds towards worthwhile causes for the likes of the Football Foundation and Horwich St Mary’s.
