After years of shaving my own head I found these guys and they did a haircut in 10 minutes without an awkward conversation, and it was the hair cut I always wanted but didn't know how to ask for it. Good music playing as well, sometimes.

A great selection of top-end vintage synths and electronic instruments are in constant rotation at Switched On. Unlike some music stores, the vibe is always pretty chill and strolling in to mess around with whatever new keyboards or drum machines are on display at the time feels encouraged and non-judgemental. They also always have a nice array used of pedals and accessories to check out. On central, too-hip East Ceasar Chaves, it's also not too out of the way for the odd drop-in.

A very lovely beach club. A lil' on the expensive side.... situated near a great part of the beach, nice loungers, washing facilities as well as excellent service - fresh and deliciously prepared food. They also have a surf/paddleboard centre which has a great instructor and equipment. (ask for Walter) On a week visit I came here twice. To surf when there was surf available and paddleboarding on a calmer sea. Also had lunch and drinks here and had a really great time!

A slice of Scandi in the heart of London. Great for lunch, with all the meatballs, salads and classic Scandi foods you could want, along with a great little deli shop too.

First we should say the flaw, Trattoria Arlati is a bit far away from the city centre and not really easy to get to with public transport. Having said that, it’s the most charming restaurant where we’ve ever been. We always go there and always get the same menu, “Risotto al Salto” and “Ossobuco alla Milanese” of course, and it’s always delicious but is not just the food. In the 60’s it was really popular among artists, in the 70’s bands started to play in the basement and now when you get in you immediately feel it. It’s a charismatic place.

Barbican, a residential estate in central London, is known for its brutalist architecture, almost a social experiment on how to live in an estate. I love walking around this area looking at the geometric shapes, the contrasting public spaces and the use of materials. The term brutalist originates from the fresh word for ‘raw’, and concrete is typically used as one of the main materials. The Barbican centre located in the centre is an arts centre and the largest of its kind in Europe, and was opened in 1982. The centre is used for classic and contemporary concerts, teatre, film screenings and art exhibitions, and houses a library, restaurants, cafes and bars. The areas’ architecture really invites you to go on a photo safari as there are great angles and light everywhere.

It’s easy to get lost in the density and chaos of New York but there are opportunities to step outside of it for a macro view. Chartering a sailboat on the Hudson is a great way to escape and see the city in a different light, especially at night.

At the end of tramline 7 and 14 there is a huge bridge on concrete pillars. These pillars are one of the few places in Amsterdam where it’s legal to spray graffiti. My work is very much influenced by graffiti, so I love to come here and see what’s going on. It’s a very dynamic place, so one day it can be awful and the next day amazing but it’s never boring.
