The street vendors in Jogja, the "bakul" draw attention by the sounds they produce: every kind of food is announced by the sound of an object. A sound of a spoon on a plate is "rujak" (fruit), a cow bell is "satay", a spoon on a bowl of noodles is "bakso ayam". The sound of boiling water "putu" (coconut cake) and a cart with a loud speaker with LOUD "dangdut" music is "getuk" (cassava cakes). The latter is indicative of a trend: traditional sounds are gradually taken over by electronically amplified sounds.

My works can be described as ‘post-graffiti art’. The approach, attitude and application of my designs are heavily influenced by graffiti and street art. I am fascinated by today’s zeitgeist but am also critical about it. Street art is an art movement in which many inspiring things are happening and where I feel at home. With a spray I can visually express what I cannot do with a pencil. However, I would like to go deeper than the sometimes superficial appearance of graffiti and street art and highlight those aspects that make the viewer think. I would like to express my thoughts visually, either in a clear statement or in an experiment with a still unknown outcome, which can lead to something new.

Tyler Spangler’s work focuses on the formalist relationship between images removed from their original context. He explores the connotations of color, form, and photography through the medium of digital collage. His designs are colorful and unabashedly chaotic. Over the last 4 years, Tyler has created (14) 400 paged books filled with his own designs and worked on countless collaborations internationally. He is a Psychology graduate and is an Art Center College of Design dropout. He ran an illegal punk venue for 13 shows until it got shut down by police. Contemporary, yet timeless. Minimal, yet warm. Graphic, yet calm. Calculated, yet intuitive. The characteristics defining the work of interior architect Frederic Kielemoes, seem to be an interplay between opposites. Yet, his designs are pleasant, balanced spaces with a richness in materials, colours and detailing. His portfolio has a strong focus on residential interiors, but also includes exhibition stand designs for respected brands. Frederic is a collector and long-standing admirer of Belgian Geometric Abstract Art, with key artists such as Gilbert Decock and Marc Verstockt. In their formal language, basic shapes such as the circle and the square are strongly present. Frederic's designs often start with a similar sensibility, before they get sculpted into refined, threedimensional environments.  His choice to work in a modest office with one other interior architect is a deliberate one. Frederic prefers to work in close contact with his clients on the one hand, and the contractors and craftsmen on the other. To hone his knowledge, he can regularly be found on site and in workshops. "My aim is to understand the limits as well as the endless possiblities of materials and techniques, to come to the most elegant solutions."
