Kind of secret, dark, intimate cocktail bar in Soho. Really easy to cozy up on a couch and stay there all night.

Cologne / Club

Schrebergarten is an outdoor club that is located in a rail triangle. The dancefloor in the back of the areal resembles an enchanted garden with colourful lights sparkling in the top of the trees, only the trains passing by remind you of where you are. As it is all outdoor the club is only open in summer.

Detroit / Cafe

This place offers the best brunch in the entire city of Detroit. Located at the Eastern Market, a place that changed in 3 years in many unexpected ways. You'll love it.

Madrid / Art Centre

Medialab Prado is the coolest place to work, to collaborate, to do workshops, to participate in events and conferences. They are the nicest people in the planet doing such interesting programs. My favorite is Interactivos. It is also a good place to meet new friends and go afterwards for beers in the bars around Lavapies, a district full of art galleries and Museums.

Rio de Janeiro / Art

A Mesa is an art gallery, founded by four women, who define it as a resistant space. It is located in the colorful Morro da Conceição, in front of a small square where talks and events are held in parallel with exhibitions, gathering local inhabitants and visitors.

London / Restaurant

Rochelle Canteen, established in 2004 by Melanie Arnold and Margot Henderson, is housed in the converted bike shed of the old Rochelle School. Rochelle Canteen is one of my favourite restaurants in London for breakfast, lunch and/ or dinner.

New York / Park

When the weather is nice I love to come here with my friends and eat falafel and talk forever and lay in the sun. It’s just a short walk from my place and has a great view of Manhattan and there’s always good trash washed up on the shore.

Istanbul / Bar

Kadiköy is the slightly calmer equivalent to all the happenings in Beyoğlu, and yet, a must see place. Lâl Bar, located on the infamous Bar Sokağı (Bar Street), is a definite for a late afternoon beer. Renovated from an Ottoman house, the interior is covered with dark wooden walls and accents. A stay later into the evening will grant a local dj or band, and the location allows for bar hopping with ease.

Maaike Canne is an illustrator working across a variety of different media, including murals and print. She’s often inspired by surroundings with a sense of silence and estrangement that hold a lot of personal stories at the same time, like motels, malls and gas stations. Her vibrant work is often suggestive and influenced by elements found in architecture, interior and design. Zara Arshad was born and raised in the UK, but has also lived in Syria and Indonesia. She now resides in China as a graduate of the BA (Hons) Design course, Goldsmiths College. Strongly influenced by Bruce Mau, Troika and Graffiti Research Lab, she continually promotes internationalism and the potential of design to solve social and political issues. As well as practicing as a freelance, multi-disciplinary designer, Zara currently works on the Organising Committee for Beijing Design Week 2011 and writes for Design China.

Joana Chicau is a designer, coder, researcher - with a background dance. Her transdisciplinary project interweaves media design and web environments with choreographic practices. Chicau has been researching the intersection of the body with the constructed, designed, programmed environment, aiming at in widening the ways in which digital sciences is presented and made accessible to the public. She has been actively participating and organizing events with performances involving multi-location collaborative algorithmic improvisation, open discussions on gender equality and activism.

In my photography I explore the everyday life, gender, environmental issues, and sexuality. I’m a crazy curious person, I experienced a lot of things in life from how is the everyday in a circus to being backstage documenting Sex work. I find fascinating people’s behavior always up to meet different characters, and have been doing it all around the globe. I love getting my hands dirty with the craft of ideas in every way, I have a graphic design background, I've been taking photographs for the past 5 years and I'm working in my first short film “THE SHOW MUST GO ON” now.
