Malerie Marder grew up in Rochester, NY and studied at Bard College completing a B.A. in History and Art. She received her M.F.A. from Yale University where she was awarded the Schickle-Collingwood Prize and The John Ferguson Weir Award. Her solo exhibitions include Leslie Tonkonow Artworks + Projects, Salon 94 and Greenberg Van Doren in New York; Blain|Southern, Maureen Paley, and The Photographer’s Gallery in London; Galerie Gabriel Rolt, Amsterdam. I am a Swedish artist based in London. My work concern interest in restraint related to the body and cultural structures. Ideas of obstruction aim to question how forms and bodies adapt to change, environment and ideals.  I am interested in how a person is shaped by the spaces they have occupied and how a person occupies their own psychological space. With a background in dance, interests in the body and spatiality continue to influence my ideas with focus on balance and repetition. The physical relationship to images are essential in my process of making and the photograph as a performative document explore elements of gesture. There are slippages between image, object and subject. I work mainly with the analogue photographic process and sculpture in relation to the image and performance. I enjoy working physically with materials whether they are photographic prints, sculpture or my own physical body as a medium.

I am a painter from philadelphia.

Cindy is a painter living in Portland, Oregon.  Cindy captures the good old days in her sentimental paintings of characters from her past.

Emil Kozak is from a small town in Denmark, and was inspired to take on graphic design as a result of his life long passion for skateboarding. He began at an early age to develop his skills, inspired by skateboard-art and album covers. Growing up in Denmark, the long tradition of scandinavian functional minimalism, is inevitable and the result today is a unique artist with brilliant ideas running a studio, a clothing/surfing brand and exhibiting in art-galleries all over the world. He is motivated by a simple goal that resonates throughout his work: ”I hope that my work can remind us that imagination can defy gravity and bend time. It is our own responsibility to enjoy every second of the day. Nobody else can do that for us. Have fun, do what you love, love what you do. We might get thrown off this spinning ball of iron and mantle tomorrow.” He currently lives and works in Barcelona.
