Cologne / Museum

Built on the ruins of a church destroyed in WWII this museum designed by legendary Swiss architect Peter Zumthor really is a place of wonder and awe, a celebration of simplicity and purity.

Antwerp / Cafe

Right next to the art academy of Antwerp, this small café is a terrific place to sit down and enjoy the view of people passing by. Their coffee is very good and they also have a variety of ways to prepare it, if you're into that stuff.

Berlin / Restaurant

Located in a vintage ballroom, Clärchens Ballhaus is a nice lunch destination. Try the "Käsespätzle" with applesauce!

Copenhagen / Attraction

Distortion Festival is a 5 days big party, rolling through one neighbourhood each day during the first week of june. In the daytime you'll find free street parties and at night the parties continue in the night clubs with international DJ line-ups.

Groningen / Academy

The Art Academy (Academie Minerva Groningen) has several buildings, and this one is still under construction, but some rooms/halls are already done. This is the main Exhibition Hall, and has different styles and kinds of art every month.

New York / Restaurant

I'm a huge Japanophile: if there's one other place I'd like to live, it's Tokyo. I must have been there seven or eight times, most recently just after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Anyway, EN is a gem on Hudson Street, serving real Japanese cuisine. It turns out that EN is a chain in Japan; there are a lot of branches making lovely bosky food in cosy neighbourhood locations. But their New York incarnation is grand in scale and ambition, with solid, warm interiors (not unlike if the Whitney were a Japanese restaurant, oddly) - a remarkable hybrid of this city, and the other one that I'd love to live in.

Vilnius / Cafe

An artisanal bakery, specialising in slowly fermented sourdough, using only a handful of ingredients: salt, flour, water and naturally present yeasts.

New York / Gallery

Always beautifully curated shows in a whitewashed space. The work is juxtaposed with the bustling China Town backdrop, adding a dose of life and grit compared to the other often hyper sterile art spaces around the world.

Amsterdam / Restaurant

Cafe Modern Amsterdam is located in an old bank building in the north of Amsterdam. Authentic elements remind of the previous life of the building. You eat a delicious daily changing 4-course menu. Every day the freshest ingredients of the season.

Hi, my name is Morgane Vantorre and I am in love with letters in every shape and form. Passionate about the materiality of our written language and what its forms convey beyond its meaning, I am a French freelance multitasker whose Type Design is at the heart of everything I do. ⁂ I would define myself first as a type designer working for foundries, agencies or for myself. From conception, to development to completion, I enjoy creating and producing typefaces or lettering, but I also offer art direction, editing and graphic design services. I am also a recent editor for Monotype, for whom I write articles on French typography and graphic design news, and a typography teacher in a Parisian art school where I transmit my passion to young bachelor students.
