These iconic recording studios are the beating heart of the Melbourne Music Scene. Musicians from all over the world come here to rehearse and record albums. Every recording room has an installation by a different Melbourne artist and the front is adorned in a two giant billboards with changing artists work (this one is mine from 2017). Everyone from famous locals such as Courtney Barnett, Archie Roach, The Drones and Paul Kelly to visitors like Tool, Beck and Elvis Costello. Founders Quincy McLean and Helen Marcou are total legends too.

The world's tallest tower, Burj Al Khalifa, I think is architecturally the nicest building in Dubai. It has a bar on the top floor called Atmosphere which gives access to the highest point of the city.

There are two lion statues standing at the entrance of the Public Treasury building. The first time I passed this site, I was quite surprised to see more that one persons passing by them, rubbing there nose as if they would be little doggies. Even bikers hold on to give them a little stroke. For some reasons rubbing their noses is meant to give you good luck. Looking at how the material got polished, I can imagine how people are sensitive to myths or just superstitious. So am I... now each time I pass there, I do the same.

New York / Park

At first, this park felt too arranged and perfect for me but somehow it became my safe place. Going here always picks me up. The piers have a breathtaking view of the downtown Manhattan skyline, The Statue of Liberty, and The Brooklyn Bridge. Undeniably magical. The piers host picnic spots, soccer fields, roller skating, basketball, outdoor gyms, tennis walls, grills for barbeque, and more. I also appreciate how they designed the plantations with so much care and it’s just a lovely space overall for anyone to enjoy.

London / Pub

Classic, wood-panelled boozer with banquettes and bar stools, plus a pool table. Situated close to Goldsmiths, University of London. Vibe: Art School meets Football Fan meets Mark E Smith.

The most insane natural wine bar i've ever visited. Sano san knows well the value of Biodynamic and natural wines, he has a little cellar at 11 C where you can find gems opened up to 1 year before. The atmosphere and the way Sano treats his wines and his guests will change your perspectives. The kitchen is also delicious.

Genevieve Lutkin is an artist based in London and graduate from the Royal College of Art Moving Image and Photography MA programmes. Working in photography and moving image, her work has been exhibited at galleries such as TATE Modern, Mimar Sinan Contemporary Art Museum Istanbul, Pump House Gallery London, Focal Point Gallery Southend and screened at festivals such as UnderWire Film Festival and Alchemy Moving Image Festival. She has also been involved with the Tomma Rum artist residency in Skellefteå, Sweden and has presented research examining ‘The Uncanny’ within moving image at the Academy of Finland and Finnish Anthropological Society interdisciplinary conference in Helsinki, Finland.
