Pretty much every weekend, I try to stop in to Wonder Fair. The super friendly folks there specialize in the creation and sale of handmade artist-editioned merchandise and host monthly art openings in the gallery space. There's always something fun and different going on there. If you're a part of my life in some way, I've probably sent you a card bought at Wonder Fair.

This hole-in-the wall noodle shop reminds me a lot of Taipei, an unassuming place that pleasantly surprises the taste buds. San Francisco has endless amounts of amazing food, but this place stands out because of it's size, taste, and prices. There are only about 9 seats in the place but if it's packed, it's worth the wait. While you wait for your noodles or curry, they'll chop open a fresh coconut so you can hydrate yourself before downing a bowl of pure, salty goodness.

It doesn’t happen very often but its one of those things that brings people together. Running to the park or hill with anything you can find that might work as a sledge with a big grin or your face.

A brand new business district called Belaya Ploshad (White Square) built around an early 20-century old-believers' church. Old believers are a fundamentalist sect that's split from the official Orthodox Church in 17 century. Many prominent Russian tsarist-era businessmen were from the old-believers' background. During Soviet era, this church was desecrated, then, in the 1990s, returned to an old-belivers' community and renovated. A good example of Moscow contrasts - a fundamentalist church (with a Facebook page) and modern office blocks next door. Plus - on the other side of Belaya Ploshad there is Belorussky Station Square - a large intersection with an endless construction site, a railway station, full of dirt, primitive street trade, homeless, and... nice cafes.

I love that there's a museum dedicated to American art, founded at a time when American artists were underappreciated. The exhibitions are curated with a broad but discerning eye, and the architecture is spectacular. In my experience it's typically much quieter than the obvious choices like the Met and the MoMA - although both are remarkable, there's something I love about the scale and style of the Whitney.

I wear many hats – most of which can't be showcased on one platform! I do the most all the time and challenge humans to do better and be better. I believe art heals, listening is important, traveling is essential and one shouldn't be judged for their love of adult onesies. Just sayin. ;)
