Cute place to listen to jazz music and chill

Ljubljana / Park

Tivoli Park is the largest park in Ljubljana, located on the outskirts of the Center district and straching to north, south and west districts. Several notable buildings stand in the park, among them Tivoli Castle, the International Centre of Graphic Arts and Tivoli Hall. There also a Zoo, a small artificial lake and a tiny greenhouse. It is my favorite and closest place for running when i don't have time to bike somewhere more distant.

Sydney / Bookstore

Japanese bookshop in the centre of of town. Amazing selection of art books, including a nice selection of independent publications. Lots of fun Japanese magazines, book and stationary. Excellent coffee shop inside too :)

Istanbul / Place

Many places on the European and Asian sides of Istanbul can offer great views of the Bosphorus. But the shoreline in Üsküdar is unique for its limitless sight of the city’s historical skyline and modern architecture, all at once. Büfes along the shoreline offer some local foods, and it’s easy to grab a snack from a passing vendor. Seating is below the street level with comfortably broken-in cushions.

Palermo / Park

One of the few wonderful gardens in the city. Near the famous Orto Botanico. The boat with Santa Rosalia, Patrona di Palermo.

Sydney / Bar

Best place to go for a late burger and drink. Its small little bar that is super cosy at the back of Redfern Continental. With a disco ball, a neon penis and a pretty good (and pretty cheap) food and drinks menu.

Brussels / Restaurant

One of the most original restaurant in town — they only serve mushrooms! Everything is incredibly fresh, tasteful and surprising, the menu is updated on a very regular basis.

Paris / Library

I love to go to this library and often work there. It is very peaceful and the setting is beautiful. The library is a mine for books about design and architecture.

London / Museum

I have just recently finished a project installing a drawing for artist Alan Johnston onto the ceiling of the Tate Britain. The experience, although being somewhat taxing on peoples health with long hours and difficult working conditions was fantastic. The mediative and mind altering drawing practice that Alan has created combined with the enthusiasm of a team of talented individuals has resulted in what can be considered a great work of art. It will be open to the public later this year.

Tokyo / Cafe

Daikanyama is a fashionable town which attracts young people. There are many stylish cafes. Coconara, a cafe & dining, is the place where they can enjoy art while they are eating and drinking. In the shop, there are tables which various artists have decorated. Artworks of the featured artist are displayed on the walls. You can see my work in this photograph.

London / Cinema

Close-Up's film programmes present a series of films that shaped the art of cinema and its history. The programmes also include regular special events with filmmakers present to discuss their work. Close-Up is committed to supporting and developing the exhibition of independent and experimental cinema, focusing on the cross over between the arts and film culture.

Verena Hennig is an internationally working Creative Director and Designer from Germany. Her studio explores and combines the fields of art, architecture and design. Los Angeles based, Mauro Gatti is an italian all-around creative guy in love with creating all sorts of other fun stuff. He lives a double life, during the day he’s in charge of content creation at the amazing JibJab Studio; at night he splashes around in illustration, animation, game design, GIFs and children’s books illustration. His work is full of humour and his style is iconic and simple, inspired by the illustration of the 60s and 70s.
