Murals! where? everywhere! walls, streets, signs, windows. keep your eyes peeled. I walk a lot in San Francisco and always seem to find new murals in the least expected places. They are a constant source of inspiration, and make me wish I could paint worth a damn.

If Dogs Run Free is a great place to have coffee or a cocktail or both. It is located between Naschmarkt and Museumsquartier and always worth a stop. It has a calm and cool atmosphere. They also serve some great homemade sandwiches. They offer a small but great selection of drinks and at night it is usually packed.  It is designed by two architects and the ceiling installation is changing every year.

It's a coffee shop where I usually spend my mornings, before I get my hands on work. A friendly place where you can always meet nice local folks, get the best coffee in Belgrade or simply catch some sun outside of it. They even throw the daytime parties each Sunday it's easy to spend a few hours around without noticing. You can hang around with friends outside on the crowded sidewalk, listen to the beat and catch up the vibe of the former industrial area in Lower Dorcol, only few minutes away from the city center.

If you want to leave the city and breathe in some fresh air, just buy a "Schleswig Holstein Ticket" and go by train to Travemünde. A borough of Lübeck about 1,5 hours away from Hamburg and located next to the sea. It has been a seaside resort since 1802 and has still some architecture, signs and symbols from the 19th century to show.

I really enjoy the dumplings here and hanging out with my friends. We have given the nickname 'Vagina palace' due to their choice of painting the walls pink.

The biggest and most famous flea-market in Kiev. I love this place. In the market you can find any unexpected things like player on plates, antiques, dishes, trash-toys, old cameras, brands with profile of Hitler, Soviet cards, wheel of car, pirate porn video and many, many others.

These giant spectral cylinders are great at different times of the day but my favourite time is around dusk when the buildings in the city start to light up. The Gherkin and the new Shard building are framed in the lowest ring then the shifting colours of the sky are almost split in the following ellipses.

Jerry Stifelman directs his flmmaking collective, CreatoDestructo Imagery and is a freelance writer and creative director for commercial brands that stand for something. He is an authenticity junkie, describing himself as “drawn to pretty much anything that comes a deep and true place, whether it's funny, ugly, beautiful or ferce.” His commercial work frequently takes him to large cities in other countries, but he loves his little home city of Carrboro, which he describes as “the funkier, gritter, hippier ( and hipper), less posh neighboring town to Chapel Hill, home of the University of North Carolina. It's an easy place to live, easy to bike everywhere, near the airport, and has loads of culture and the sense of optimism that comes from lots of students at the phase in life where all roads are open and anything is possible. It's also a place of great style — lots of people expressing themselves without listening to anyone else. It's also an easy ride to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the beaches.”
