Beautiful chaos. I recommend a "tour guide" your first time here as it is very easy to get lost in these tiny streets and alley ways. A bustling market with different sections including tile, metal, art, scarves, jewelry, rugs, antiques, teas, oils, etc. Be careful to decipher what "shops" are authentically Berber, and which are actually just items made in china. The donuts at Donut Wheel are always excellent, but the best thing about this place is that it’s open 24 hours, and is relatively safe. Most other 24-hour joints are in sketchy neighborhoods. I like to get a buttermilk donut and a cup of coffee, then paint all night long on one of their wobbly tables. Some of the best painting sessions I can remember have been at the Wheel.

If you need a dose of nature while in Helsinki, a great option is to go for a walk or jogging in Keskuspuisto, Central Park. It's easy to reach by tram or bus. I recommend going beyond Ruskeasuo if you yearn for more forested landscapes. The photo is taken in December near Ruskeasuo.
